The Mission station at Pilibhit was started by Fr. Julian Pinto in 1980, the Parish
Priest of Poliganj by staying in a rented room. In the following year, land was
bought in the Civil Lines where St. Aloysius Church and the College were constructed.
Canossian Daughters of Charity were invited in 1981 to assist the Priest in pastoral
and educational activities.
