The farm at Nausar was bought in 1963 and a few Punjabi Christian families were
settled in the farm. A small Chapel was blessed in 1969. Till 1972, Nausar was looked
after from Poliganj. Fr. Jerome Saldanha became the first resident priest at Nausar
in 1979 who through his tireless efforts constructed the church, Priest's residence
and the school. Maids of the poor opened their convent in Nausar in 1980 to help
the priest in educational and pastoral ministry.
