Mission at Motinagar was opened in 1991, when Missionary Sisters of Immaculate were
invited to cater to the needs of the leprosy patients in the surrounding area. A
piece of land was purchased at Motinagar and a hospital (Jeevan Daan) was built
to cater to the needs of leprosy patients. Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity
(M.C.) have opened their house at Motinagar in 2003 to render their services to
the poor and destitute. A piece of land for the Parish house was purchased in 1997
and Fr. Gregory Frank is the first resident Priest posted in the year 2005 and a
Priest house and a Church built in the same year and blessed by Rt Rev. Anthony
Fernances on 4th September 2005.
