Jaspur

It was a long felt desire of Bishop Anthony Fernandes to start a mission station at Jaspur. To his invitation, Fathers of the Congregation of Carmelities of Mary Immaculate responded. The CMI Fathers in July 1998 purchased land in Kishanpur village, about 4 km. away from the township of Jaspur and a temporary residence was blessed on 19th March 1999. Fr. Yesu Das was the first pioneer of this place. The objective is to establish an educational institution and to carry out pastoral, evangilical and social activities in the surrounding villages. The Sisters of Destitutes (D.S.) are helping in the missionary activities of the place.
