In view of extending the pastoral and missionary work in the diocese, the C.M.I.
Fathers purchased a piece of land at Gadarpur in the year 2000. Gularbhoj, a visiting
station from Bazpur was handed over to them to take care of the pastoral and spiritual
needs of a few catholics residing there. Establishing the educational institution
is one of the objectives of starting mission at Gadarpur. Fr. Varghese Koikara,
CMI is the first missionary of the place.
